Educational Qualifications:
Project Title: Optimization and characterization of beverage from minor millets and exploring the nutritionally important bio actives for women’s health using integrated omics approaches.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
- Essential: M.Sc/M.Tech with specialization in Food Technology Dairy Technology/Dairy Chemistry/Food Chemistry/Food Science and Technology/Food Science and Nutrition/Biochemistry and allied disciplines (NET/GATE qualified)
- Desirable: At least one research paper published in NAAS rating >6.0; experience in novel product development, biochemical techniques, metabolomics, etc.
Duration: The post is purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis for one year or project duration whichever is earlier, which may be extended on yearly basis after satisfactory performance.

Essential:
- With Doctoral degree: Ph.D. in Plant Pathology/Virology/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/ any relevant discipline of life sciences with desirable experience OR
- With master’s degree holders: Master’s degree in Plant Pathology/Virology/Molecular Biology /Biotechnology /Bioinformatics/ any relevant discipline of life sciences with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at At least three years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/Associateship/Training/other engagements as circulated vide F. No. 2-9/2012-HRD dated 25.04.2014 and one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) / NAAS rated (≥4.0) Journal as per OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of’ DST dated 30.01.2019
Desirable:
- Research experience in Plant Virology/Virus Diagnostics/Molecular Biology & Biotechnology with knowledge of Ubuntu Linux, CLC Genomics workbench, OmicsBox and bioinformatics, HTS data analysis, virome analysis and scientific writing; as evident from publications in scientific journals with high-impact factor.
- Candidates having >2 research papers on virome/HTS analysis/bioinformatics published in peer-reviewed journals with high-impact factors will be preferred.
Young Professional-II:

Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
Essential: Post Graduate Degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Biotechnology) selected through a process described through any one of the following:
- Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
- The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.
Desirable: A candidate having a basic understanding/hands-on experience of molecular biology techniques, and bioinformatics would be desired.
